Sampling Scheme Design

The method of constructing spatial sampling scheme is to base the design on a geometric criterion that does not involve the covariance structure. ┬áComputer simulation over many possible designs would tell us the ‘best’ design in the sense that sampling points are most evenly distributed over the studied area. Lack of historical data and pilot studies motivates us to choose this model-free design. Below is an illustration of this design. (Note: this is merely for illustration.)
