Info for Visitors

Gate Passes

All attendees that do not already have a gate pass will be required to get one for the visit. Attendees will be contacted shortly about obtaining them.
Note that, to enter the laboratory, you will need to bring an appropriate ID.

  • If you are a US citizen, a State ID, Driver’s License, Passport, Military, HSPD-12. If you are from Arizona, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, or the American Samoa, then you need alternate identifiication.
    • United States Passport
    • Original school/university issued ID’s or State Issued Firearms/Concealed Carry License that contain a photograph AND a Birth Certificate
    • Original school/university issued ID’s or State Issued Firearms/Concealed Carry License that contain a photograph AND a Social Security Card
    • All Federally Issued Identification
    • All HSPD-12 cards
    • Enhanced Driver’s Licenses from New York & Minnesota
    • All photo ID’s from other DOE/NNSA Laboratories
  • If you are not a US citizen, a valid original passport, legal permanent resident card and/or visa (F-1 visa/I-20, J-1 visa/DS-2019, H-1 visa/I-797 or I-94, EAD)

From the entrance gate, Building 240 is the first building on the right. The conference will be held in rooms 1404-1405. Walk into the main entrance and to your right, next to the cafe, is a staircase leading down to the first floor. Exit to the right and on your right will be the conference center.
Lunch will be held in the site cafeteria, in Building 213. People typically walk there, but there is also parking around the building in case driving is necessary.

There are a number of hotels in the area, as well as a hotel at the Argonne site. For reservations, please see http://www.anlgh.org/anlghhome.html.

Food / Drink

Snacks and coffee will be provided during the workshop sessions and breaks. Lunch and dinner will not be provided. The cafeteria in Building 213 is easily accessible for lunch, and there are numerous off-site restaurants outside the laboratory.
